Cold formed circular hollow sections

Cold forming is a process whereby steel is pressed with the pressure of rollers at room temperature. This means an improved surface finish and dimensional tolerances. With strain hardening induced by the cold forming, comes an increased resistance to bending with a risk of corner cracking and welding limitations imposed by structural design standards.

We carry a range of lengths in cold formed sections as standard. All cold formed sections are from quality assured British or Western European mills and have full material certification to the advised grade.
